THE COMMUNITY

A Unique Approach

Several years agone the CBS Executive Board decided information technology was time to change the way our congregation viewed membership. Instead of "ante", a new model was designed which would turn the conventional arroyo on its head. The decision was made to motion to a Voluntary Pledge Program. Looking dorsum, this revolutionary idea seemed fraught with risk.

As other temples had experienced, economic pressures put many congregants in a position of making the choice betwixt re-joining or not. How could CBS provide the services and back up our congregants relied upon without knowing we could afford to delivery? Could we continue to exist the spiritual center of the Santa Clarita Valley? The respond to both questions is yes, and more than. This unique path to the benefits of membership is working at Congregation Beth Shalom.

Worship

A Civilisation Congenital In Traditions

From Thursday morning minyan to Shabbat services, our magnificent sanctuary is dwelling to services that reflect the very material of our community. Shabbat morning includes a reading of the weekly Torah portion with lively discussion that brings both Rabbi and congregant together in spirited conversation.
